The OMRON Gentle Temp 533 is an infrared ear thermometer for adults, children and babies. Its probe needs no disposable covers and wipes clean in seconds. It runs on 2 AAA batteries, supplied together with a probe protection cap and the instruction manual.
One-second reading, even with a restless child
The sensor captures the temperature in the ear canal the moment you press the button, and a beep signals the end of the reading. For comparable results, always measure in the same ear.
Backlit display with orange fever alert
You can read the value in a dark room without switching on the light. Above 37.6 °C the backlight turns orange, so a raised temperature is obvious at a glance.
Buzzer-off mode for night-time checks
Switch the beep off and check a sleeping child in complete silence. After the reading the thermometer powers down automatically and saves battery life.
30-reading memory for tracking a fever
The stored values show how the temperature has moved over recent days and make the conversation with the doctor easier. The scale switches between °C and °F.
No disposable probe covers
