Sonic Frontiers for Nintendo Switch is an action-adventure in which Sonic hunts for the missing Chaos Emeralds and lands on the ancient Starfall Islands. It blends free exploration, epic battles against giant foes and classic high-speed 3D stages.

Open-zone platforming across five islands

Each of the Starfall Islands has its own look, from dense forests and waterfalls to sweeping deserts. Choose your own route as you take on side quests, solve puzzles, scale towering structures and even go fishing along the way.

Cyber Space stages for classic speed

Portals scattered across the islands lead to standalone Cyber Space stages. Here you'll find the 3D platforming Sonic is known for, with challenges that test your timing and skill.

Combat with a skill tree and Cyloop

The new combat system is built on dodges, parries, counterattacks and combos, unlocked gradually through a skill tree. With the Cyloop ability, Sonic draws a circle around an enemy to take down everything from regular foes to colossal Titans.

A story about a lost ancient civilization

The islands hold the remains of an ancient civilization overrun by hordes of robots. Sonic's only guide is a disembodied voice, and his goal is to save his friends and the island's inhabitants. With a PEGI 7+ rating, the game is also suitable for younger fans.
