The CATA IHPF 351 BK portable induction hob is a standalone single-zone appliance rated at 2000 W that plugs into any 220–240 V socket. Touch controls and an LED display handle every setting, while the glass top wipes clean with a damp cloth. It works with induction-ready pans with a base diameter of 12 cm to 26 cm.
Eight cooking programmes for everyday dishes
The Select key cycles through Stir-fry, Hot Pot, Soup, Water, Fry, Steam, Milk and Congee. Soup, Water, Milk and Congee run at a preset power level, while Steam starts with a 45-minute countdown and returns to standby on its own.
300 W to 2000 W across 8 steps
Stir-fry and Hot Pot start at 1600 W, and the [+] and [-] keys drop the setting to 300 W for gentle simmering or push it to maximum for a fast boil. The Fry programme is temperature-based, adjustable in 8 steps from 60 °C to 240 °C.
Timer up to 2 hours 59 minutes plus panel lock
The timer is available in Stir-fry, Hot Pot and Fry modes: when the countdown ends, the hob beeps and switches to standby. The Lock key disables every sensor except On/Off and releases after a 3-second press.
Pan detection and overheat protection
If no suitable pan is present or the pan is lifted, heating stops and the display shows error code E1. Separate sensors monitor the glass plate and the electronics, and after two hours without a new command the appliance asks to be reset.
Compatible pans: steel, cast iron and enamel
Use magnetic pans in steel, cast iron, enamelled iron or magnetic stainless steel with a flat base of 12 cm to 26 cm. Centre the pan on the zone and leave at least 10 cm of clearance around the body so the ventilation outlet stays free.
