The BRITA Glass Jug with MAXTRA PRO filters tap water for cold and hot drinks and arrives with one MAXTRA PRO PURE PERFORMANCE cartridge included. The body is borosilicate glass and the Smart Light LED indicator tracks when the cartridge is due for replacement.
Borosilicate glass with 60% recycled content
This is the same glass used in laboratory and industrial ware for its heat and impact resistance. It will not discolour or hold on to the taste of whatever it held before, and the plastic parts are made from bio-based material.
Four-stage filtration for soft, clean-tasting water
Coconut-shell activated carbon cuts chlorine and taste-affecting substances, while ion exchange pearls soften the water and reduce metals such as lead and copper. A coarse inlet mesh and a high-performance outlet mesh catch particles carried by older pipework.
Smart Light LED tells you when to swap the cartridge
The indicator lights up once the cartridge is spent, so you never have to guess when it was last changed. Every other part is dishwasher safe at up to 60 °C; the indicator itself simply lifts off first.
Works with every BRITA MAXTRA PRO cartridge
MAXTRA PRO cartridges drop into the funnel in seconds and fit both the newer BRITA jugs and older MAXTRA models. Before first use, soak the cartridge in cold water, then filter and discard the first two jugfuls.
