The Marshall Middleton II is a portable Bluetooth speaker with 30+ hours of playtime, IP67 protection and a 1.8 kg body. A multidirectional control knob on the top panel runs playback, while bass and treble are dialled in on the speaker itself or through the Marshall Bluetooth app.
30+ hours of playtime, 20-minute quick charge
Twenty minutes on USB-C buys another 5 hours of music, and a full charge takes 3 hours. The Li-ion battery is replaceable, and the battery preservation setting in the app protects its capacity when the speaker stays plugged in.
True Stereophonic: sound in every direction
Two 3-inch woofers, two 0.6-inch tweeters and two passive radiators sit in a sealed cabinet driven by four class-D amplifiers. Frequency range starts at 50 Hz, with a maximum sound pressure level of 87 dB SPL at 1 m.
IP67: dust, sand and 30 minutes under 1 m of water
The speaker is tested for full protection against solid particles and for operation while submerged, which puts it at home poolside, on the beach and in the park. The detachable strap in the box makes one-handed carrying easy.
Multidirectional knob and built-in mic for calls
One knob covers volume, play and pause, track skipping and answering calls. The built-in microphone handles conversations hands-free, and a separate button powers the speaker on and off.
Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint, AUX input and powerbank function
Wireless range reaches 60 m in the open, codecs cover SBC, AAC and LC3, and two sources can stay connected at once. Wired devices plug into the 3.5 mm AUX input, while the USB-C port tops up a phone from the speaker's own battery.
