Four drivers in one bass-reflex cabinet, reaching down to 30 Hz for movies and music.
The Yamaha NS-777 is a 3-Way, 4-driver bass-reflex floor-standing speaker built for the front channels of a home cinema or a stereo setup. Dual 20 cm woofers, a 13 cm midrange and a 25 mm aluminium dome tweeter cover 30 Hz to 35 kHz. Price is per single unit.
Dual 20 cm woofers for a solid low end
The cones use polymer-injected mica diaphragm (PMD) material, light yet rigid. The bass-reflex cabinet extends the low limit to 30 Hz, which you hear in film effects and in instruments with deep fundamentals.
Waveguide horns for precise imaging
Midrange and tweeter both sit behind Yamaha waveguide horns that send more direct sound toward the listening position. Less wall reflection means voices and instruments are easier to place in the mix.
Bi-wiring terminals for split connection
The terminal block offers separate pairs for the woofer section and the rest of the drivers. Feeding them separately from the amplifier reduces modulation distortion, and internal wiring is done with Monster Cable.
89 dB sensitivity at 6 ohms
Mid-range receivers drive it comfortably: nominal input power is 100 W, with 250 W peak handling. At 1100 mm tall, the cabinet puts the midrange and treble close to seated ear height.
