The AudioQuest Tower RCA-RCA interconnect carries an analogue stereo signal from source to amplifier or powered speakers. At 1.5 m it comfortably spans components on separate shelves of a rack, with a stereo pair of male RCA plugs at each end.
Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors
The copper has a long-grain structure with fewer oxides and impurities than standard OFHC wire. A solid conductor also removes strand-to-strand interaction, one of the main sources of distortion in stranded cables.
Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System against RF interference
An extra metal layer absorbs and reflects RF energy before it reaches the ground-connected shield. Noise from routers, phones and power supplies stays out of the equipment's critical ground reference.
Asymmetrical Double-Balanced geometry
Ground and shield run on separate paths instead of sharing one, as in ordinary single-ended cables. The lower ground impedance keeps dynamics stable on a component-to-component run.
Gold-plated, solder-free plugs
The connection is made by a high-pressure cold-weld rather than solder. Gold plating keeps contact resistance low even when the gear is unplugged and reconnected often.
