The ASUS Vivobook S16 S5608QA-MB234W is a 16-inch laptop built on the Snapdragon X platform with 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory, a 256 GB NVMe SSD and Windows 11 Home preinstalled. Its matte 16:10 screen and full numeric keypad give you room for documents and spreadsheets, and charging runs over USB Type-C.
Snapdragon X with an NPU rated up to 45 TOPS
The eight-core processor clocks up to 2.97 GHz with 30 MB of cache, paired with Qualcomm Adreno graphics. A separate Hexagon NPU handles Windows AI features plus image and audio processing, keeping the main cores free.
Matte 16-inch WUXGA screen with an 89% screen-to-body ratio
The IPS-level panel runs 1920 x 1200 in a 16:10 ratio, adding vertical space for text and spreadsheets. Brightness is 300 nits and the anti-glare finish keeps reflections down when you work next to a window.
Aluminium chassis in Matte Gray
Lid, top case and base are all aluminium, with a black backlit keyboard and a numeric keypad. The model has passed US MIL-STD 810H military-grade testing for life on the move.
50 Wh battery with USB Type-C charging
The three Li-ion cells charge through the Type-C port at anywhere from 45 W to 68 W, so a capable phone or universal adapter will do on the road. Battery health charging in MyASUS caps the top-up level to protect the cells.
Two USB Type-C, two Type-A and micro HDMI 2.1
The Type-C ports reach 10 Gbps and carry video to an external monitor as well as power. Wireless is triple-band 2x2 Wi-Fi 6E plus Bluetooth 5.3.
FHD camera with IR sensor and a webcam shutter
The IR sensor unlocks Windows Hello by face recognition, while the mechanical shutter covers the lens between video calls. Security is rounded out by the Microsoft Pluton processor, firmware TPM and BIOS password protection.
