The JBL Stage3 8627 is a 2-Way coaxial car speaker set in the oval 6" x 8" (15 x 20 cm) format used by many factory door openings. It covers 65 Hz – 20 kHz at a 3 ohm impedance with 50 W RMS power handling, making it a straight upgrade over stock drivers.
Plus One™ cone adds up to 35% more radiating area
JBL's patented design (US patent #7,548,631) moves the surround attachment point outward on the frame. Efficiency rises by up to 2 dB, which you hear as deeper, fuller bass from the same head-unit power.
Edge-driven dome tweeter for smoother highs
Highs spread more evenly across the cabin instead of beaming at one seat. Response reaches up to 20 kHz.
Vented basket keeps voice coils cool
The rigid frame wicks heat away from the motor structure as the cone moves. Distortion at high output stays low and the driver handles sustained peaks of up to 250 W.
Fits standard 6" x 8" oval openings
Top-mount depth is about 58 mm with a cutout of roughly 183 x 142 mm. The 3 ohm impedance draws more power from a factory radio without overloading its output.
