The JVC CS-DR6940 is a 6"x9" coaxial car speaker pair from the DR series, built as a straight upgrade for factory-fitted speakers. Its 4-Way layout splits the range between a woofer, a midrange and two tweeters, while the 79 mm mounting depth fits most standard openings. The pack contains two speakers with grilles, mounting hardware and a template.

A 2.5 cm poly-ether imide dome handles the highs, with a second 1.5 cm dome extending the top octave. Mids get their own 6.6 cm cone, keeping vocals clear of the bass.
Carbon mica cone keeps sound clean at high volume
The material is light yet stiff, so the cone tracks the signal without breakup at 90 W RMS. A hybrid rubber-and-cloth surround copes with the temperature swings inside a car all year round.
Drop-in replacement for factory speakers
The low profile widens the list of cars that take these without door or deck modification. Grilles, screws, clips and a template are in the box, and the 4 ohm impedance suits both a factory head unit and an external amplifier.
