The THUNDER TCA-D100W.4 is a four-channel Class D car amplifier built to drive a full cabin system. It powers four speakers, or runs bridged into two channels for extra output, including a front-stage plus subwoofer setup. Speaker impedance can range from 2 to 8 Ohm.
Class D output of 4 x 180 W RMS at 2 Ohm
The amplifier is equally stable at 4 Ohm, where it delivers 4 x 120 W RMS. Switching-mode amplification wastes less energy as heat, which is why the chassis stays this compact under continuous load.
Bridged mode for a subwoofer: 2 x 360 W RMS at 4 Ohm
Two channels can be combined to feed a subwoofer while the other pair handles the front doors. One unit then covers both bass and midrange, with no second amplifier in the boot.
Adjustable LPF and HPF crossovers for precise tuning
The low-pass filter sweeps from 50 Hz to 250 Hz and the high-pass from 60 Hz to 1.2 kHz. Each speaker only receives the band it handles well, keeping bass in the subwoofer and vocals up front.
Input sensitivity from 0.4 to 6.0 V for any head unit
The wide sensitivity range accepts both a factory head unit and the higher output of an aftermarket processor or multimedia deck. A signal-to-noise ratio above 90 dB and distortion below 0.15% keep the signal clean as it is amplified.
