The DAIKIN FTXD25A/RXD25A inverter air conditioner is a 9000 BTU wall-mounted split system sized for rooms of roughly 20–25 m². It heats in outdoor temperatures down to -20 °C, cools up to +50 °C and can be controlled remotely over Wi-Fi. The set comprises the FTXD25A indoor unit and the RXD25A outdoor unit running on R32 refrigerant.
A+++ energy class in both cooling and heating
Seasonal efficiency stands at SEER 8.5 and SCOP 5.1, figures at the top end of what residential split systems offer. Rated power input is 0.560 kW in cooling and 0.610 kW in heating.
Heating down to -20 °C outdoor temperature
Rated heating output is 2.800 kW and rated cooling output 2.500 kW, with a cooling range from -10 °C to +50 °C. The system therefore stays a primary heat source through the winter, not just a summer cooler.
Quiet operation at 19 dB from the indoor unit
At the lowest fan speed the unit stays below a whisper, which matters in a bedroom or nursery; at maximum speed the figure reaches 57 dB. The outdoor unit operates at 58 dB.
Built-in Wi-Fi for smartphone control
Mode and temperature are set from a mobile app, including while you are away — handy before you get home. Auto-restart returns the last settings after a power cut.
Compact indoor unit and R32 refrigerant
The indoor unit is 225 mm deep and weighs 10 kg, which makes placement above a door or on a narrow wall section easier. R32 has a lower global warming potential than R410A and requires a smaller charge.
