The KitchenAid Artisan Plus 5KSM50PKVEIO stand mixer is the brand's first model with an integrated light that shines straight into the bowl while you work. The 4.7 L stainless steel bowl comes with four attachments and a pouring shield, and the tilt-head design leaves the bowl open for adding ingredients.
Integrated bowl light
The light switches on automatically when you lower the head, or you can activate it by twisting the speed knob. You can see butter creaming into sugar and tell exactly when the flour is fully worked in.
11 speeds plus stepless precision control
Beyond the fixed presets, the dial glides to any speed in between for the exact texture you want. Soft Start ramps up gradually so flour stays in the bowl, while the 1/2 speed setting folds in whipped egg whites or cream without knocking out the air.
Planetary action with 59 bowl touchpoints
The shaft turns one way while the attachment spins the other, covering the whole bowl. The double flex edge beater scrapes the sides as it mixes, so you stop far less often with a spatula.
Stainless steel attachments, dishwasher safe
You get a flat beater, a double flex edge beater, a dough hook and a 6-wire whisk. The bowl has a welded handle, and the pouring shield goes on the top rack of the dishwasher.
Expandable with optional attachments
The front hub accepts the KitchenAid attachment system: pasta rollers, food grinder, vegetable slicer, ice cream maker. Attachments are sold separately.
