The KitchenAid Artisan Plus 5KSM50PKVEJP is a tilt-head stand mixer with a 4.7 L stainless steel bowl and an integrated LED bowl light. In the box you get a flat beater, wire whisk, dough hook, double flex edge beater with silicone edges and a pouring shield. Planetary mixing action and 11 speeds cover everything from stiff bread dough to whipped cream.
Light built into the bowl
The light comes on automatically when you lower the head, or you can switch it on by twisting the control knob. You can see butter creaming into sugar and tell when the batter has gone smooth, without shining a phone into the bowl.
Precision Speed Control with 11 speeds
Beyond the preset settings, the dial glides smoothly between them while you hunt for the right texture. Soft Start ramps the speed up gradually so flour stays in the bowl, and the 1/2 fold setting gently folds delicate mixes such as egg whites and mousse.
Planetary action with 59 touchpoints
The shaft turns one way while the attachment spins the other, covering the whole bowl. Doughs and heavy batters come out evenly mixed the first time round.
Stainless steel attachments, dishwasher safe
The double flex edge beater has silicone edges that scrape the bowl as it works, so you stop far less often with a spatula. The bowl has a welded handle, and the pouring shield is safe on the dishwasher's top rack.
Hub for optional KitchenAid attachments
The multipurpose front hub takes the brand's original attachments for fresh pasta, meat grinding, slicing and shredding, as well as ice cream. Attachments are sold separately.
