The HERTZ DCX 165.3 is a 6.5" two-way coaxial car speaker from the Dieci range, built as a direct upgrade over factory audio. Its 4 ohm load runs happily off head-unit power or an external amplifier.
Coaxial design with a PEI dome tweeter
A neodymium-motor tweeter with a PEI dome sits at the centre of the woofer, so highs and mids radiate from a single point. The built-in crossover splits the frequencies, so no external filters are needed during installation.
Water-repellent paper cone with TPU surround
The pressed-paper cone is treated to repel moisture and is coupled to a thermoplastic polyurethane surround. The pairing copes with the humidity and temperature swings inside doors and cabins.
93 dB sensitivity: loud even without an amplifier
A 25 mm voice coil works with a high-flux ferrite magnet for controlled output. Response reaches down to 60 Hz, giving audible low end even before a subwoofer joins the system.
165 mm cutout, 144 mm bolt circle
The frame measures 165 mm across with a 144 mm mounting circle and 64 mm of front projection. An optional DG 165.3 grille is available separately.
