The PIONEER TS-G170C is a 17 cm G-Series component car speaker system with separately mounted woofers and tweeters. Supplied as a pair with grilles, it uses IMPP composite cones that keep their shape through cabin humidity and temperature swings.
Separate tweeters for a higher sound stage
The balanced dome tweeter mounts high on the door or mirror pillar while the woofer stays in the factory location. The sound stage rises to ear level instead of coming from around your feet.
Frequency response of 36 Hz to 26,000 Hz
The low end gives solid mid-bass without a subwoofer, while the top end preserves detail in cymbals and vocals. A ferrite woofer magnet and a neodymium tweeter magnet keep things controlled at high volume.
Fits a standard 144 mm cut-out
Mounting depth is 50 mm, so the woofers drop into the doors of most European and Asian cars without modification. Grilles are in the box if the factory panels are not reused.
