DALI OBERON 1 BK Bookshelf Speakers, Pair, Black Ash
Two-way bookshelf pair with a 29 mm soft dome tweeter and DALI's patented SMC motor
The DALI OBERON 1 BK is a pair of compact bookshelf Hi-Fi speakers in black ash, built for smaller rooms, discreet stereo setups and surround duty. At 274 mm tall the cabinet balances enough internal volume for solid bass with a footprint that fits a shelf or a stand, and a keyhole bracket at the rear allows wall mounting.
Wood fibre mid/bass driver
The cone blends fine-grain paper pulp with wood fibres for a stiff yet lightweight structure that keeps the midrange free of added character. Combined with the low-loss surround and spider suspension, it takes the response down to 51 Hz.
Patented SMC technology against mechanical distortion
A Soft Magnetic Composite disc caps the iron pole piece of the woofer magnet, suppressing hysteresis and eddy currents in the motor. Third-order distortion drops sharply, which is what gives the midrange its relaxed, fatigue-free character over long sessions.
Wide dispersion for flexible placement
Driver materials and geometry are chosen to spread sound over a wider angle, so tonal balance holds up when the listening seat sits off the axis between the two cabinets. That makes shelf, cabinet and surround placements far less critical.
MDF cabinet with rear bass port and wall bracket
The enclosure is CNC-machined high-density MDF wrapped in high-grade vinyl, with solid internal bracing that all but eliminates cabinet resonance. The bass port exits at the rear and uses the wall behind the speaker to reinforce low frequencies.
Works with amplifiers from 25 to 100 W
Nominal impedance is 6 ohms and sensitivity 86 dB at 2.83 V/1 m, figures well within reach of compact stereo receivers. Maximum SPL is 106 dB at 1 m.
